ACTINOMYCOSIS OF THIGH ,HIP AND LUMBER REGION

LT thigh exploration
A 55 yr old male,fisherman by profession ,having recurrent pus and multiple sinuses in lt thigh since last 1 year treated by somebody for debridement 1 yr back.TC 99 scan suggestive of active infection in lt thigh ,hip and  lumber region.debridement and biopsy was done ,s/o actinomycosis .treated with inj. penicillin for 3 months and then tab augmentin duo 1000 bd for 1year .has complete recovery now.its now about 2.5 years of his surgery and he is fine at present. thanks to dr ashish joshi(MD) dr kiran shah(MD) for guiding medical management of that patient.dr anirudha solanki for ortho. assistence
